Company Background

Flairbase was founded in 1993 and started to supply database software services to the Noranda Technology Center.  In 1994, the company expanded to provide software and services to the mines of Noranda, Falconbridge, Newmont and Aur Resources.  Further growth came from projects for the Canadian Pulp and Paper Association, Environment Canada and Atomic Energy of Canada.

In 1995, Flairbase started the development of SIMS and continued the development and support of the AMINE 2000  mine design software. Today,  Flairbase has more than 20 complete applications at various sites across Canada.  Most applications are custom-made Enterprise Resources Planning software for Mining, Geology and Environmental areas.

In 1999, Flairbase has reached a partnership agreement with Noranda to continue the software support for the Noranda mines and to commercialize all software technology developed, including AMINE 2000 and SIMS.
